Professional photographs documenting activities associated with the Ford Western Roundup, a convention of Ford Motor Company
sales personnel held at the Oakland Civic Auditorium (later renamed Kaiser Convention Center) in May of 1948. Images depict
attendees dressed in western attire -- e.g. cowboys and gold miners -- participating in mock train robberies by bandits on
horseback and "Hold-up girls", conducted while groups were en route to the convention; a music performance; a horsemanship
demonstration; and various conference proceedings, including the presentation of Ford's latest automobile models. Typescript
texts include agenda of "Hold-up girls" activities, parade schedules, convention activities, a keynote speech, schedule of
music selections, etc.
